Biography
Landon Osornio is a composer, vocalist from Newport, Tennessee, whose music explores themes of faith, human connection, and emotional expression through choral, chamber, and large ensemble works. He is currently a senior at Cocke County High School, where he continues to develop as both a performer and composer.
As a vocalist and instrumentalist, Landon has received recognition at the state and regional levels in both voice and trumpet. He has been named a top Tenor II in East Tennessee and is an alumnus of the Tennessee Governor’s School for the Arts Vocal Track. His performance experience includes appearances in prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, as well as performances with ensembles throughout East and Middle Tennessee.
Landon’s work as a composer has been recognized through achieving first place in two regional composition competition. Under the mentorship of Mr. Channing Wright, he was accepted into Interlochen’s Summer Arts Camp for Music Composition, where he studied with internationally recognized composers and had original works performed by outstanding student musicians from around the world.
His recent choral composition, Hold Me, was performed by the 2026 Tennessee Governor’s School Chorale. His music, including original compositions, arrangements, and vocal warm-ups, has been performed by ensembles and students at Cocke County High School and throughout his community.
In addition to composing, Landon remains active as a performer. He sings with the Newport Community Choir, Newport Theater Guild, and chamber chorales, and performs as a tenor in the barbershop quartet Four Torches, as well as with a jazz band and church praise team.
